How to Cope With Your Teenager's Substance Abuse

This is an educational/support group for parents with teens who have substance use issues. The session meets for 4 weeks on Tuesday nights from 6pm-7:30pm.

Goals are to improve parental effectiveness in dealing with substance abuse,the behaviors accompanying drug use, and to enhance family functioning through communication and relationship building.

Topics include, but are not limited to

• adolescent development
• drugs and adolescents
• relapse signs and recovery
• boundaries and limits
• family context
• communication and conflict resolution.
